Last night when talking with a few young people, I recognized that they are definitely feeling the downside of pandemic life. They have lost out on a lot including the wonderful sports, school, and public events they looked forward to and enjoy so much. The life they imagined has changed dramatically and they need us to help them continue to be hopeful and positive at this time.
So, with that in mind, I want to focus on the good when I'm in the midst of young people--I want to find ways to engage them with positivity and hope, rather than focus on their losses at this dismal time when a pandemic and an irresponsible Presidential team rage in ways that elevate loss, despair, and sadness.
What we say and how we say it matters--we all have to find ways to elevate those around us during these difficult times.
