What are your politics?

So many of us are thinking about our own politics these days. We are thinking about what we believe in and what we want for ourselves, our loved ones, our neighbors, our communities, our states, and nation.

Quality, Accessible Education and Health Care

I believe that an intelligent, healthy people is a strong, peaceful, prosperous people. I believe that we can improve health care and education in ways that enrich and empower everyone's life in the United States.

Take Care of All

As a teacher, I learned that when we take care of those with the greatest needs, we open the door to better care, leadership, and support for everyone at school. The same is true for our country's leadership. When we seek to care for all starting with those most in need, we build a stronger, better country. To ignore the needs of the most challenged, marginalized, and struggling Americans is to weaken our country--we have to take care of people beginning with those most in need.

Healthy, Clean Environment

None of us can survive a polluted, unhealthy environment. We need clean water, clean air, and clean soil to survive. I believe that we have to do all we can to work for a clean environment as that will spell healthy lives for us and for our children and grandchildren.

Civil Discourse, Debate, and Compromise

There will always be problems, and the job of good politics is to solve problems in the best possible ways. To do this, we have to embrace civil discourse, debate, and compromise.

Creative, Modern Solutions

Leadership with diverse teams of experienced best and brightest Americans can help us to lead with creative, modern solutions. Too often we negate the latest research and intelligence related to solutions--we can't continue to do that. Instead we have to embrace modern processes to solve problems and utilize up-to-date, well curated information when solving those problems.

Respect for Individual Rights and Life Choices

We have to respect the many ways people live and love. While we need to share some common protocols, laws, and policies, we also have to respect the wonderful individualism that is alive and well in the United States. To me, as long as people are not hurting others, allow them to live their lives. The more we give people freedom, the better they live and the happier and more successful our society will be.

Update our Infrastructure

We have to update our infrastructure with our tax dollars. If the infrastructure is up-to-date, it will be safer and help us to accomplish the goals we have.

Healthy, Happy Families and Communities

We have to focus on community health and happiness by supporting options for good health care, education, and recreation. We have to help communities solve the problems that are unique to them. Like the people in the United States, there are rarely one-size-fits-all solutions for community problems since every community is unique in some ways.

At this point, this is my political perspective. How is your's the same or different than mine.
