We vote in many ways.
As we know, we may vote via political elections where now many of us can vote by showing up at the polls, mail-in ballots, or absentee ballots. One person-one vote.
We also vote with our money, time, and choices, and what we do creates a reaction. When many are interested in an event, product, or idea, their interest creates traction, and that traction results in the event, product, or idea's popularity, growth and development.
The best example of this, perhaps, is the smart phone. Many years ago when Steve Jobs predicted that everyone would have an iPhone, I found tht unimagineable, and now his prediction has, for the most part, come true. No matter how much money you make or your circumstances, the truth is that most people do own some kind of smart phone today--people essentially voted for this product with their time, money, and ongoing interest, and the result has been that the product has development significantly and become connected to almost everything we do in life.
As I think about voting this morning in the broadest sense, I'm thinking about what it is that I vote for with my time, money, and interest, and via that voting, who and what am I supporting?
