Are you traveling on a sinking ship during the pandemic?

Is your ship sinking during the pandemic and election season?

Should you try to shore up the boat's security or take a lifeboat to safety? What will you do?

Trump is a sinking ship

Whether Trump wins or loses, his ship is a sinking ship. Over time we have learned that ships built of lies, inhumanity, cheating, hate, prejudice, sloth, irresponsibilty, and ignorance eventually sink. If you've lived as long as I have, you have seen this to be true. Of course, some of the greatest sinking ships, take some time to sink below the water's edge, and that appears to be true of the Trump ship. No matter how long it takes for his ship to sink, my advice is to find a lifeboat to safety sooner than later because the long-term course for the Trump ship is nothing but doom and gloom--it's a ship routed to death, the death of people, death of our beautiful lands, death of our wonderful waterways, death of good ideas, death of our wonderful potential, and death to the promise our country holds for good living. The Joe Biden/Kamala Harris lifeboat is waiting for you--vote for them, and vote for safe, healthy, happy travels ahead.

Pandmic without a plan is a sinking ship

Problems typically just don't go away, and the greater the problem, the less the likelihood disappearance is possible. The pandemic is a big problem that requires a smart plan. Without a plan, more tragedy and suffering will continue. I'm not ready to jump off the pandemic ship, but instead I'm following public health precautions to stay safe myself and keep others safe too. I trust the true captains of this ship--the doctors, medical professionals, scientists, researchers, and public health officials. This ship can be repaired with proper attention.

Is your home and/or organization a sinking ship?

My son's workplace is riding the waves of this pandemic with intelligence. They've instituted all public health measures. My son feels safe and has, so far, not contracted the illness. His workplace is not a sinking ship. Every organization needs to keep their employees safe, and if they can't keep them safe at the workplace, then they should let workers work from home.

Is your home safe? Home safety can happen if you follow public health precautions. In our home we've used testing, social distancing, masks, and careful planning to stay safe--so far, so good.

Are your affiliations a sinking ship?

It's good to audit your associations now and then to decide if those relationships are a sinking ship. If a relationship is taking you down, down, down, then it's probably time to find a lifeboat and get away from that relationship.

During this pandemic, it's important to consider the ships you are traveling on. It's important to consider your safety, and to know the lifeboats available if needed. We want safe travels, and if we work together, we can travel safely to the places we want to go.
