Election eve

Tonight is election eve. Tomorrow the remaining people who have not cast their votes yet will cast their votes. Many of us will be glued to our television sets or radios watching or listening to the votes come in. Who will win the Presidential election? Who will win other contested elections throughout the country? Time will tell, and it's likely that time will extend beyond election day perhaps into the weekend until final counts are done.

Of course, I am hoping Joe Biden and Kamala Harris win. I am disheartened by Trump and worried about what will happen if he is President for another four years. I don't like the example he sets for our youth, the hate he spreads, the violence he incites, the prejudice he champions, and the irresponsibility and ignorance he displays with regard to the challenges we face. I believe he has been a failure, danger, and waste of time and money as President of the United States. I espcially don't like the fact that he's led with nepotism and cronyism, and that many of the people he's chosen to lead his campaigns and work in the White House have eventually been convicted of crimes. I want honest leadership who will work with and for the American people, rather than Trump who works to prop up his privilege, power, pleasure, and pocketbook instead.

Tomorrow I'll watch history happen. I'll listen to the pundits, read the articles, and discover who America voted for, and after the election I'll focus in on my own goals and pursuits as well as how I might contribute to this country in a meaningful way in the years ahead. Onward.
