This is an awesome, easy-to-use pizza crust for homemade pizzas. |
Like many, I've been doing a lot of cooking and baking throughout the pandemic months. Fortunately the Internet provides easy access to limitless recipes to follow, and about ten grocery stores are located within a few miles from my home. There are also orchards and farms close by, and we grew a good amount of food in our small garden too. Many friends are regularly sharing the foods they create and ideas for good cooking as well. It's a fertile time for at-home cooking and baking, and a time when I thinking more about the ingreidents I use.
Our family is moving in the direction of more plant-based foods. We're also trying to include healthy and affordable ingredients. For example, last night I made an eggplant parmesan. I used a better quality ricotta cheese--while the cheese was a bit more expensive, it was much more satisfying than the ricotta cheese I typically buy. When food is more satisfying, you don't feel like you need to eat more--so while the cost may be more expensive, you eat less and are more satisfied.
As I visit varied stores, I'm beginning to discover a number of products that are the best with regard to value and quality. I'm also finding that you can afford a few more expensive items while utilizing more of less expensive items such as eggs, bananas, carrots, onions, and potatoes.
Everyone knows that quality cooking, like quality experiences of any kind, depend on the ingredients you use. Making the time to explore the varied ingredients at stores or online has the potential to uplift the quality and value of the meals you prepare for yourself and your loved ones. During this altered pandemic time when we are not engaging in many typical activities and traditions, focusing on cooking, baking, and the ingredients you use makes life healthy and enjoyable. This focus also leaves you with positive knowledge and skill for post pandemic days too.
