In some ways, one might look at life as a series of obsessions--interests that over come you. As I look back on my life, I can think of many quests that obsessed me, quests I gave endless hours of attention and action.
As a young child, I wanted to learn how to do a back hand spring. I spend hours and hours thinking about that and trying it out. In the end, the closest I got to that quest was a back flip off the diving board which gave me great satisfaction.
Later my obsessions included attention to crushes, cheerleading competitions, and figuring out life's secrets (an obsession I still spend lots of time on today).
As an adult there have been many experiences and pursuits that have taken my full attention including the following:
- planning a wedding
- planning family outings/vacations
- buying a home
- raising children
- becoming tech savvy as an educator
- specific education projects
- health initiatives
- games and contests
- leaders and leadership topics
Lately My focus has been focused on ridding our country of President Trump and his circle of crooks and cronies, improving my cooking/baking, and updating my home.
I am so happy to be in the process of removing the Trump team as a major focus as they have been a total time suck for our country's hard working people, our tax dollars, and our potential. It is so nice to know that they are leaving the White House where they created far more havoc than any good. I do hope many deep looks into the past four years reveal the truth of the matter--what corruption did they do, how much money did they steal or waste, and who did they target and how to get their way?
For me, the Trump hole that I fell down too many times in the last four years will likely be filled with more positive, proactive life work and events. I'm looking forward to that. Onward.
