Trump folk?

I know that a lot of people voted for President Trump. Unlike many pundits, I don't believe those people represent a single mindset. Instead, I believe that Trump voters just like Biden voters represent a large variety of mindsets, lifestyles, geography, and hopes for their lives and the life of our country.

I'm not passing judgement on anyone's vote--every American has the opportunity to vote for who they think will be the best President. I am, however, very happy that Joe Biden won as I do believe many fell for Trump's manipulation--they may not have had the information needed to recognize that Trump is a modern-day combo of Hitler-The Grinch-Dudley Dursley-Draco Malfoy.

Why Trump is a danger?

It is all about Trump

If you follow Trump's efforts, you'll recognize that he may talk the talk at his rallies, but he doesn't walk the walk. Throughout his term he has not served the American people--he has not worked to improve health care, education, and environmental protections. He has not taken problems seriously. He ignored pandemic warnings, disbanded the pandemic health team, lied about the pandemic reality to the American people, politicized pandemic responses rather than look for ways to help out all people in light of this illness, blamed doctors, scientists, and others, and still today demonstrates no compassion, care, or positive action related to this virus. Good leaders prioritize the needs of their constituents over their own ambition. They keep the mission of their position up front and work to stay faithful to their oath of office or job description. Trump has failed the American people in countless ways--some who voted for him, will notice in time that Trump has been an oppressive anchor obstructing good living in the United States.

Irresponsibility catches up to you

Trump began his term as a combination of Santa Claus and the Devil. His words and acts of prejudice, hate, and divide propped up some Americans with some short term financial gains, a sense of "we're better,"and fear mongering too.  That's how he tricked so many of us--he used lots of strategies to create a cult-like following amongst many. I don't fault people for missing the point of his corruption since he's a master manipulator who knows how to use the media to coverup his bad acts. It is difficult to unravel Trump's great web of deceit, greed, hate, and horror--a web that includes many even more dangerous self-serving individuals.

Trump's lack of responsible service to the American people has resulted in a pandemic gone wild, loss of livelihoods and lives, polluted, unprotected lands, and troubled international relations. Trump has robbed the American people of the service of a dedicated, truthful, and caring President. His irresponsibility has caught up to him.

Time to move ahead

I believe that the only people who are still supporting Trump either belong to extremist factions that he supports such as the many White supremacist groups that support him or are not receiving the information of his corruption. I believe that most people want to move ahead to days of building better beginning with Joe Biden's presidency.

I've made poor decisions with my vote before. I've supported people who turned out to be weak leaders. I voted with the best information that I had only to learn later that there was more information I should have considered.

It's time for the USA to move forward. Time to see Trump for who he really is--a manipulative, self-serving, lazy, ignorant, disrespectful, hateful and dangerous man--a man whose development is stunted, in part, due to his wealthy, but emotionally bereft childhood.

We can continue to build a strong, good country if we all do our part to build our country up with honest, positive, smart leadership locally and nationally. Let's make that happen.
