Worst case scenario

In problemed situations, it is often good to imagine the worst case scenario as that puts things in perspective. For example, I do believe that President Trump is a domestic terrorist since he is acting against long held United States' traditions and potentially inciting harm to the American people. Already, his angry, vile tweets and his unwillingness to follow his Oath of Office have incited murders in El Paso, Kenosha, and Charlottesville. I am afraid that his words now will incite greater harm. I'm not sure why he acts as he does, but I suspect he is mentally ill. I believe he should be committed to a psychiatric facility for a lengthy evaluation. I do not mind recounts or a re-look at election processes as that would be expected in a close election, but I do worry about his undisciplined, bullying, all-about-me behaviors and angry words that likely put good lives at risk. Similarly, I worry about those that are complicit with the President's crazy and dangerous behaviors--they too are inciting rage, hate, and potentially violence in our country. This is terrorism--it's okay to examine situations, but it is not okay to incite violence and harm via subtle or overt means to innocent people. The worst case scenario is that someone gets hurt, and we must do everything we can to make sure that doesn't happen.

Imagining the worst case scenario for your own issues and problems is a good idea too. We need to ask ourselves, "What's the worse thing that could happen?" And use that scenario, to help us decide the best course of action.
