In talking to a friend this morning, we noted that a silver lining of the pandemic is that many of us are slowing life down and focusing on quality rather than quantity. Large gatherings have turned into intimate affairs and quick decisions for take-out food has been exchanged for far more home-cooking.
As we talked about this topic, we discussed the holiday meals. He alerted me to this fabulous cookbook from Provincetown, MA. I ordered it and hope to make the paella or gumbo for New Year's Eve. I also look forward to reading the stories from this wonderful seaside town with a rich history.
It's time for quality over quantity during this pandemic holiday.
