I like having good leaders, and over time I've learned to seek those leaders via books, social media, friends and family members, television/film, and in real time experiences.
As a retired educator, who is branching out to new adventures and learning, I am finding myself looking for new leaders. Yesterday I found one via a video. She is an individual who is a good and knowledgeable teacher who has set up a video course for a topic I want to learn about. I found her via reading a number of articles and trying out some other similar leaders. This woman is the right fit for me on this very personal topic.
I also have a number of books next to my bed with other leaders I hope to learn from. Their wealth of experiences will mentor me with regard to being an active, positive community member--I look forward to the knowledge.
There are people close to me who will lead me too. For example, today I'm touring an arboretum with my son who is a plant expert. I look forward to learning more about the plants, gardens, and landscapes with him.
Finding good leaders makes life more enjoyable and meaningful. This is a necessary step in directing your path in positive directions.
