History Walks

One interesting story from family lore happed when Coolidge visited White Court in 1925.

I've been researching our extended family's history, and while I've been researching I've been looking up a lot of the old homesteads on Google maps. Some of the old homes still exist, and others are long gone. Today, I'll take one of those history tours via walking. We'll walk along the shoreline to see where one ancestor appears to have orchestrated a rum running event during prohibition. We'll also visit an old seaman's home and the multi-family homes of ancestors who worked in leather shops at the turn of the century. Family history tours are a good ways to look back in time, review the stories of our families, and get some exercise too.
