How Trump spreads propaganda and riles up his base

When I think of Trump, I think of a man rolling a dangerous giant bowling ball that strikes at the United States lives, livelihoods, lands, laws, government, public spaces, reputations, potential and promise.

How did he roll this ball of destruction in ways that cost lives, livelihoods, health, justice, and lots and lots of hard earned tax payer dollars?

Exhausting

Trump spins troubles and struggle in every direction. He spends his days whipping up all kinds of problems that people chase for hours in multiple ways. This costs money, time, and energy, and in the end exhausts people. To exhaust his many opponents gives him power. We have to learn how to be more efficient, streamlined, and stealth when it comes to dealing with time-sucks like Trump who exhaust us in so many ways.

Big Lie

Trump's upbringing, mentors, and experience has demonstrated to him that if you tell a lie enough, people believe it--that has worked for him as he spreads lies in every direction, lies that many who don't do their homework end up believing.

Enemies

Trump forwards the evil-good theater at all times by creating enemies out of his opponents and ideas/policies/laws that go against his self-serving efforts to prop up his wealth, power, privilege, and pleasure. He creates enemies by repeatedly calling those people and ideas/policies/laws by simple, derogatory, memorable names and using big lies to substantiate his enemy claims.

Heroes

Furthering his evil-good theater, he creates heroes too. For example, he's created Ivanka to be a White supremacist heroine--she wears white most of the time, she's undergone enough plastic surgery to make her look like a Barbie doll, and she's been given the power and supports to forward her Trump heroine-personna. He also makes himself out to be a hero by continual self-praise in all he does.

Theater

Trump theater is predictable. He's chosen a script that has worked for him, a script that includes the following:

  • Music people respond to and gives him power
  • Staging that makes people feel like they are apart of something good, exciting, patriotic
  • Late appearance--he arrives late in order to make sure the crowd is excited, ready, hungry for him
  • A big entrance with smiles, waves
  • Compliments for the crowd--again and again he praises whatever crowd is there
  • Signature compliments for a local hero--he chooses one or a few local heroes to bring on stage and/or compliment and praise.
  • Compliments about himself and his team with lots of propaganda, exaggeration, lies
  • Derogatory, mean-talk and lots of lies and propaganda about his chosen enemies of the day with quick memorable phrases
  • Chants--he starts chants, pauses and lets people chant now and then throughout the speech
  • Focus on how he says words--he is a successful propaganda performer
  • Reptition--he repeats his compliments, mean speak, propaganda and lies again and again and again.
  • He adds finger pointing, waves, dancing. . .he entertains the crowd
Fund Raising

With all he does, he is continuously fund raising, collecting money, selling goods--this gives him more power to forward his message in real time and online via multiple channels. He also uses this money to prop up his wealth, power, privilege, and pleasure.

Social Media

He repeats his theater via social media 24-7

Threats

There are reports that Trump bribes and threatens folks. I'm sure we will learn more about that in time. We heard him threaten the Georgia election official, and that's one example of this lawless behavior.

We know what Trump does. We know how deadly and harmful his propaganda theater and speak is for the country. The question now is how do we protect free speech and choice while also proptecting people from this dangerous and destructive self-promotion? What can we do?
