There was insurrection at The Capitol. After Trump incited a "fight" and promised to walk with his rowdy, angry, faithful followers to The Capitol, he scurried off to the safety of the White House and an apparent viewing party with many screens and a cheeful crowd--it seems their evident cheer was the result of a successful insurrection event--they obstructed the due process related to the Joe Biden's Presidential win and wreaked havoc on all members of Congress and anyone who worked in or near the building. They also caused costly excessive damage--a job well done to Trump and his team of self-serving propagandists. And as the poor and disrespectful Washington, D.C. neighbors that they are, they upset life as usual throughout the city due to a curfew imposed by the mayor for safety and likely created havoc for family life throughout the D.C. Metropolitan area as police and National Guard were called in to work overtime to keep the terrorists at bay and city safe.
How will justice departments investigate this event--who will be held responsible?
These are the questions I believe need to be investigated.
- Who choreographed the event--was there an actual plan to create this insurrection, and if so where and when did it start, and who mastermined the event. We see pictures of Ted Cruz and Trump Jr. riling up the base prior to the event--was that part of the plan?
- Looking back at Trump tweets, he has been spreading conspiracy theories, lies, and propaganda about election fraud ever since he was declared the loser in the election--what role did his misinformation play in this insurrection.
- Who else spread misinformation, how was it spread, and what role did it play?
- It seems that the main vandals came from a few distinct places in the country--were those terrorists targeted to be the ones who acted with such violence, threat, obstruction, and disrespect? If they were targeted, how were they tarted and by whom? Was their plane fare supported by the trump team in any way? How did they afford the time and money to attend the rally?
- Trump, as he always does, was significantly late for the event--that's a signature move for him as it makes an audience anxious, excited, and that anticipation is the first step to riling them up.
- Trump's speech was similar to his tweets, a litany of propaganda, lies, conspiracy theories, praise for his followers, bogus statistics, misinformation, and disrespectful, hateful statements for his enemies and the free press--his delivery, as usual, was theatrical and focused on riling up the crowd. He is a master propagandist who uses and abuses others for his own gain continuously--he true actions overtime demonstrate that he could care less about people's welfare--he doesn't care if we live or die.
- At Trump's insurrection viewing party, what really happened? Who was there? What were they saying? There appears to be tapes of this event circulating--these tapes should be evaluated?
- What is the responsibility of Secret Service when it comes to insurrection? Should they just stand by, or do they have an obligation to report what they heard and saw when it comes to actions that stand against the welfare of the American people, leaders, the country's infrastructure/buildings, and our government?
- What will be the process for finding and prosecuting the many people involved in this insurrection--what will police, the FBI, and the Justice Department do? How will they coordinate their efforts? How much transparency will there be, and will there be a central place where all information is colleced, organized, and reported? Right now due to the Trump team abuse of power, the media has been the only way people are getting information. The White House has relayed virtually no information which is not surprising since they appear to be the ones who planned and executed the event.
I'm sorry that the Biden administration has to begin with so many Trump-related legal problems to investigate and prosecute. Trump creates lots and lots of extra work for people wherever he goes, this work costs money, time, and the good potential for the positive problems that exist out there--problems about how to better living for all. Yet, a job well down with regard to transparently and openly investigating this insurrection will make our country stronger going forward.
