One Hundred Acts of Solidarity with President Biden and Vice President Harris

I've said this many times. When President Trump gave his inaugural speach in January 2017, I was willing to give him a chance even though I did not vote for him. But the next day when he stood in front of the CIA wall that honors all who have died for our country and he spent most of his time lying about the numbers at his inauguration and praising himself rather than speaking truthfully and recognizing the dedicated law enforcement in front of him, I knew we were in for some troubles ahead. After that, day after day, similar to his campaign, Trump continued to divide the country as he skirted and broke laws, spread hate, bigotry, and propaganda, and acted for self over country time and time again. A term that began with disrespect, self-serving seemingly lawless behavior, hate and divide ended with the fourth deadliest domestic terror event during this term--a violent insurrection at the Capitol that ended in death of American citizens, injury of many Americans, violence, vandalism, obstruction of justice, terror, threats, and a tremdendous human and monetary cost to the American people. Trump's Presidency was like a dirty snowball rolling down a steep, polluted, rocky hill--his corruption and abuse of his role became dirtier and more dangerous with every day that he served as President, and now the whole country grieves in the wake of this irresponsible, deadly President with considerable lives lost, a raging untended pandemic, and the death and destruction that a violent domestic terrorist insurrection caused.

The good news is that Trump was legally voted out of office by many, many Americans who know the truth and believe in our country's Constitution and laws--Americans who want the best for our wonderful country and one another--Americans who believe in the promise we hold as a nation, a promise for peaceful, positive living in every corner of our country, and a promise for a world where diverse nations work together for the common good.

How can we jumpstart the promise we hold? What can we do?

I recommend that everyone commit to 100 acts of positivity to show solidarity with President Biden and Vice President Harris--100 acts that counter the hate, greed, violence, terror, abuse, and destruction the Trump terror team used to hold us all captive and to halt the great promise possible.

I have already started this effort, and I must tell you, it feels good. To act in positive ways to counter the terror, hate, divide, lies, and destruction, truly works for one's spirit and the betterment in one's family and community.

These positive acts of solidarity do not have to be grand gestures, but instead small, positive acts to show love, build positivity, and make better--it's a way of healing our country and putting us on a positive path, a way to create a wave of good to demonstrate to President Biden and Vice President Harris that we agree with their priorities, all priorities focused on uplifting Americans' lives today and into the future. We can do this.
