Reconsider your team and advocacy

The election of a new President and a new administrative team is a good time to reconsider your team and advocacy. Who will you support and what groups will you join as you work for a better United States?

Truth and Justice

As you consider your affiliations, consider their relationships with truth and justice. Are you supporting people and groups that often don't tell the truth and deal in conspiracies and progragada, or are you supporting individuals that honor and work with and for truth and justice? Those who continuously spread lies and propaganda do not represent the best of who we can be as a country, and those who act lawlessly with little regard for justice, similarly do not support the best of us. Think carefully about the track records of the people and groups you align yourself to--make sure they represent truth and justice not only in words, but in actions too.

Making Positive Change

As you consider your affiliation and support for individuals and groups, find out what they have done, and consider if their actions have truly uplifted lives. Some talk a lot, but do little to make positive change. Challenge yourself to research your affiliations with depth--know those you support well, and discontinue support for those who do not act in the best interests of the people they serve.

Focus on Issues that Matter

Propagandists want you to be immersed in issues that don't matter--crazy issues with roots in little truth, issues that distract you from what truly uplifts your lives. As you get involved in issues, research those issues--know the details and be smart. Don't let bogus, self-serving leaders turn your attention away from the issues that effect your lives in positive, uplifting ways.

Stay away from the hype and sensationalism

Propagandists, cheater, and liars know that it's easy to distract the people with hype and sensationalism--they turn their social media threads and posts as well as their rehetoric to these kinds of issues, issues that speak to our basic instincts more than our intellect. Beware of this harmful propaganda that divides us and keeps us low--work for the betterment for all in ways that truly make a difference.

In the next few weeks, I'll spend more time digging into the facts with regard to the people I support and issues I believe in. I hope everyone will do the same.
