When was the last time you audited your relationships? How did you do that and why would you do that?
Most of us have realized during the pandemic that good relationships are critical to living well. It has been our good relationships that have kept us strong during the pandemic--we needed each other to get through this challenging year.
In many cases, you've probably been a great friend and family member, and in other cases, perhaps you could have been better.
To stop to reflect and audit your relationships now and then can spell better relationships going forward. These are some questions that can help you to audit your relationships.
- What relationships do you value?
- Why do you value those relationships?
- How do you nurture those relationships?
- Do you check in with your friends?
- Do you listen to your friends and family members' stories?
- Are you there when they need you?
- Do you help them to obtain what they want rather than what you think they need?
- Do you plan events that you enjoy?
- Do you give them space to be who they are and live the way they choose?
What other questions would you use to audit your relationships? How do you think this can work to strengthen the ties you enjoy? Why do you believe this matters?
