As we move from one stage of life to another, we need to revise our routines for good living. This revision takes time. As I moved from the busy life of teacher and mother of young children to the less busy life as a researcher/writer and mother of adult children, I've crafted a new routine--a routine that I heard a writer speak about when he spoke to us as teachers one day many years ago.
The routine:
- reading/reflection/writing
- activity
- more reading
- activity
- cooking
- family
- entertainment of some kind
I like the way I can break up the cerebral work of the day with times of activity. Activities range in many ways--ways that I'm still exploring. The same is true for entertainmnet. Onward.
