Trying to stay afloat amidst Trump terror, raging pandemic, and dark, gray weather

It has been a very tough few months, and though I've done everything within my power to coach myself forward, the Trump terror that created a lot of this angst continues.

President Donald Trump  mistrusted election results, so he legally waged a large number of law suits and investigations which all proved that it was a fair and just election. But instead of trusting the legal course, Trump continued to be a sore loser sowing mistrust of our legal, ethical election, and waged war against the American government and people in a number of ways.

  • He and his cronies spread lies and propaganda about the election in everyway they could think of thus sowing mistrust in the election to those that trust them, those that don't do their homework to know the truth of the matter, and those, like them, that will lawlessly stop at nothing to prop up their power, wealth, privilege, and pleasure.
  • He and his cronies planned a gathering at the Elipse in front of the White House for the day that the electoral college vote would be confirmed in Congress. Planning this event was a clear effort to disrupt a peaceful transfer of power. Not only did they gather an angry mob who brought all kinds of deadly weapons, hateful signs, and anger with them, but then they told that angry mob that they would join them in a walk to the Capitol. They urged them to fight. The angry mob did as they were told--they fought, they injured, they killed, they terrorized, and they obstructed the just process to confirm Joe Biden's win for several hours. Investigations now show that this was an orchestrated event that included funding, advertisement, and possible recruiting by Trump and his cronies--they seemingly planned an event to kill, maim, terrorize Americans and upset due process related to a fair election in government.
  • Too many Trump cronies sided with Trump and his team's deadly insurrection--some, as reports point to, may have aided and abetted the murder, injury, terror, and obstruction of justice that day. A full investigation will have to be waged to find out the truth of the matter. The truth we do know is that a manipulative President urged an angry loyal mob to fight that day. He told them he would go with them, but instead he scurried off to the safety of the White House to watch the carnage, and he did nothing to stop it for hours. Even I tried to get help by writing to the FBI when the violence started to get help.
  • Trump still has not officially and rightfully conceded about the election loss. He has still not congratulated Joe Biden on his win, and he continues to spread heinous lies and deadly propaganda that contine to terrorize people across the country.
  • Trump terror is costing the country lots of money and anguish. We've had to add lots of extra troops to protect a peaceful transfer of power. People are spending money, time, and emotion on funerals for loved ones, health costs for the injured, the repair of substantial vandalism, and extra work hours to get government and other work done. Children all over the country are suffering for lots of reasons--they know the President incited terror, hate, injury, death, and obstruction of justice--essentially he acted in everyway they are told not to act. Some have lost family members to death. Others worry about injured family members. Still more children watched Trump urge their wayward parents to break the law, hurt, and murder people--these children's parents will spend lots of time in jail. And now, rather than get excited about an election, children all over the country see our Capitol city filled with force--it's frightening.
  • Trump is not apolgetic, remorseful, or upset in any way about his hateful, deadly behavior--instead he's planning a costly, showy send-off the morning of the Biden's inauguration. Trump is a true sociopath that sucks the country of money, health, respect, health and lives.
  • All the while that Trump is creating this deadly, unjust, unethical, frightening theater, a pandemic rages--a pandemic that President Trump has continuously made worse by ignoring the threat, acting with ignorance and ineptitude, spreading deadly misinformation, and allowing the pandemic to rage because he seemingly simply doesn't care if we live or die.
So as we witness an evil man do everything he can to obstruct justice, overthrow our government, abuse our hard eaerned tax dollars, and hurt and harm the American people, we also hve to endure pandemic threats, sickness, death, and worry, and the dark days of winter. It is a difficult time for all of us.

The good people have to do what they can to help one another right now--they have to act to uplift the spirits of their loved ones. Thankfully Joe Biden and his team have been a source of strength and light. Despite Trump's disgusting, dangerous, deadly behavior, Biden has been strong, smart, and forward thinking. He's clearly and concisely responded to Trump terror while spending most of his time focused on the welfare of the American people with grace, respect, trust, and care. Thank you Joe Biden--I look forward to your team's leadership, I look forward to a return to civility, respect, and good work with and for all Americans.
