Have you noticed that there is a surge of useless, misleading, bogus news stories on social media threads right now? I am wondering why these time-suck topics and articles are trending? Is this the will of some in power to thwart America away from what is right and good for the people--a will to prop up dangerous, useless hype rather than focus on the issues that truly make a difference? How do we counter this mess?
First, remember what is important. I offer the following list.
- When thinking about the impeachment trial, stay focused on the fact that we are a country of laws, and no one is above the law. If you don't like the laws, there are peaceful, productive, legal ways to work for change. Instead former President Trump abused his power by inciting the fourth deadliest domestic terror event during his term--a domestic terror event that was an insurrection resulting in obstruction of justice, murder of American citizens, injury of many, vandalism, terror, threats, and the resulting extraordinary expense to hardworking taxpayers everywhere, expenses to repair the damage, investigate/prosecute the crimes, extra supports for many who have had to work overtime, and the tremendous need for greater policing and protection because of this Trump terror. Don't let anyone lead you astray with regard to this trial--for a sitting President, political leaders, and anyone else to lead a deadly insurrection is a crime, and they should be prosecuted.
- When thinking about President Biden's first 100 days, any talk that is focused on Democrat vs. Repulican is bogus--President Biden is working to serve the people, and that should be the focus of our discussion--we should be thinking about what serves all the people best, and what helps our country to recover from the bogus, self-serving, lawless behavior of the self-serving Trump administration.
- Truth matters--we should all build better skill when it comes to understanding the truth of the matter--we have to block, report, and counter the propaganda that some political leaders and groups continue to spread.
- It is a fact that our diversity makes us stronger. Any efforts that strikes at people because of their culture, religion, skin shade, class, or geography are wrong and destructive. There should be NO room for that in the United States, and similar to any propaganda, block, report, and counter such language and effort right away.
The Trump team clearly worked to prop up their own wealth, power, pleasure, and privilege day after day--there is no doubt of that. That was wrong and that worked against the people and lands of our country continuously.
Fortunately enough Americans understood the terror that the Trump team forwarded for all of us, and he is no longer President. This is good, and this is a ripe time to make positive change in the United States. Join a positive team, work for betterment, and stand in solidarity with President Biden's team with committing to 100 acts of positivity during his first 100 days. To work for betterment will create a ripple of positivity that will move our country forward in significant, life-enriching ways. We can do this.
