Dull jobs

Last week I embarked on a dull job--a job, at best, that was boring to complete. But, with the help of a some mindless television shows, I was able to complete that task over a week's time, and as I suspected it feels great to have that job completed. Now I'll begin to tackle a list of similarly dull jobs--similarly boring jobs that require good time and once done will bring great satisfaction.

Those jobs include these tasks:

  • Studying health care plans to make the best health care insurance choices for the family
  • Studying communications costs to determine what phone, Internet, and other related costs are worth it, and where we can cut our costs.
  • Completing a few promised extended family tasks
  • Reading a host of books that have information which will improve my life and the lives of my family members
  • Prepping and planning for spring, summer, and fall gardening
  • A number of health-related appointments and efforts
I've got a post-pandemic dream list in the back of my mind, but honestly I can't even begin to work for that list until I get these dull jobs done. We all have some dull tasks to complete in life no matter who we are or what our circumstances are--I'll embark on my list today with a sense of gratitude that I have the time and health to do this work. I know that we'll all be in a better place when these tasks are done. Onward.
