Get the facts

I heard a story today that arised from misunderstandings. People were upset about an issue based on conjecture rather than fact. Instead of reaching out and saying, "Hey, I heard_____, is that true," people just assumed that their analysis of the situation, an analysis without fact, was true.

That's a good lesson for all of us--it's best to get the facts before jumping to conclusions as what we think might be the case may not be the truth of the matter at all. This is a lesson many of us learn from a young age, but a good lesson to remind ourselves of regularly. Onward.
