Think about the infrastructures you live with, contribute to, and benefit from. Think of the infrastructures you create. How can we all contribute to, build, and maintain infrastructures that promote good? I've thought a lot about that in the past few days as I helped loved ones reach their goals of living a good life.
Clean and organized home
The old phrase, "Cleanliness is next to Godliness," contains a lot of truth. When the places you live in, work in, and recreate in are clean, that is good and helps you to live better. Some may see this as common sense, but truthfully, cleanliness is something we all have to work at so that our spaces our clean and organized. We feel a lot better when we live, work, and recreate in places like that.
Attractive
A few decorations, nice colors, plants, encouraging signs/words, and photographs can make any place more attractive. Doing what you can to make spaces attractive and inviting leads to better living.
Peaceful
When people work together to create systems that create peace, our infrastructures work better. Angst, anger, hurt, and harm obstruct the good possible. As much as possible we should work for peace in the spaces we live, work, and recreate in.
Meaningful and Productive
As humans we like our work to be meaningful and we like to be productive too. Finding ways to make your time meaningful and produtive is positive.
Collaboration and Camaraderie
Working together in positive ways buillds our sense of collaboration and camaraderie. This is positive for us and lead to greater good.
No matter where we work, live, or recreate, it's important that we create infrastructure that creates good--good living, good feelings, good relationships, and good accomplishments.
