Hopeful

There was definitely a feeling of hope in the air yesterday in New England. It was a beautiful day and so many of us have been vaccinated. The fear of dying from an ugly disease has been mitigated, and our hopes for some semblance of happy gatherings and socialization abound.

Yet, we know that many coronavirus variants are raging, and these variants are a threat to our potential newfound freedom. We still have to be careful by wearing masks, good hygiene, physical distancing, and gatherings of few rather than many. It's not worthy being foolish now when we truly have a chance to put an end to this pandemic.

So, what can we do?

As CDC guidelines say, we can now gather with small groups of vaccinated folks for a dinner--that's awesome. We can also plan outdoor events with loved ones in spacious places where we can physically distance and enjoy each other's company.
