The acts of building, making, creating, and bettering demand the best of who we are and what we can be. When we are in the midst of these creative endeavors, our minds are alive, positive challenge is everywhere, and camaraderie is essential.
Right now, I'm in the midst of multiple creataive activites, and each endeavor requires attention and direction.
Creativity Studio
My creativity studio which is actually a corner of my family room is currently filled with boxes of photos, videos, pens, pencils, paper, and more. I'll use this creativity studio to write and produce cards, stories, family history projects, gifts, and more. The key now is to organize all of these materials so that I have what I need at my fingertips for good creative endeavor.
Family History Project
I'm intrigued by this project for multiple reasons. I want to understand my family's past as a way of living a good life today and into the future. I want my family members to know our story too. And so, I'm exploring multiple ways to make this happen via research, writing, movie-making, and more.
Gardening
I'll be honest, I don't love all the garden prep activities, but I do love the results of a wonderful backyard garden. I truly enjoy cooking with fresh vegetables and decorating the house with beautiful flowers. So there's work to do to garner these terrific results. the work includes turning the compost, prepping the plot of land, securing the fencing, planting the seeds both indoors and outdoors at the right times, and nurturing those seeds and garden plot in the months ahead, and prepping the yard for some great backyard garden-to-table celebrations.
Outdoor Adventures
My family has many outdoor adventures planned and that means getting the outdoor equipment ready as well as being strong and healthy enough to endure the beautiful hikes, swims, boating, and exploratin.
Family Care and Celebration
There's countless ways that I can contribute to my family care and celebrations to come. To keep our family unit strong and loving gives us all greater strength and joy in life.
Political Advocacy and Contribution
I'll continue to read, research, and reach out via writing and donations to worthy political candidates. Our country holds tremendous potential for bettering lives and the environment everywhere, and we have to rid our government agencies of self-serving bigots and ingrates so we can reach the potential we hold as a wonderfully diverse and good people in a land of amazing beauty and resources.
Service Work
There's countless ways to serve the public by volunteering, contributing, and getting involved. I'll continue to be guided by the mantra, Give what you can when you can. Whether it is donating blood, cleaning up pollution, volunteering at a shelter or food pantry, cooking for a neighbor, or more--we all have to look for ways to contribute to uplift the lives and communities in our midst.
