Too often we read reports of acts of hate, acts of terror, acts of violence, acts of murder, and acts of self-serving greed.
Yet, the news is also filled with acts of grace and acts of love if you look hard enough. In fact, most lives are filled with more acts of grace and acts of love than the opposite.
So how can we forward these acts of love more often in our lives? What can we do?
It doesn't have to be glamorous or exceptional, but instead, there are many simple ways to demonstrate an act of love and grace including these:
- pick up the phone and give a loved one a call
- show gratitude through words, expressions, and acts
- make someone a meal
- offer to do a chore for someone else
- invite someone over for a special event
- buy something special for someone
- write someone a heartfelt letter
- apologize for a past error
If we focus on acts of love and grace, we'll change and our world will change. This is a good perspective to have.
