Recently a friend displayed amazing positivity in a trying situation. There were many aspects of this situation, and with this friend, I chose to focus on her amazing positivity, and as part of that focus I chose to follow her lead with similar positive response and actions. It was definitely the right move to make.
As a critical thinker, I often focus on what can be better rather than what is already right and good. While critical analysis can help us to make things better, that analysis can also take a person or team down if it is too great and cumbersome. Sometimes it is better to focus on the good that is happening even if the good is not perfect or as good as it can be.
