Tough jobs

You know it is a tough job when you heave a sigh just thinking about it. We all have tough jobs in life--jobs that require the best of us mentally and physicallly--jobs that demand sacrifice, risk, and lots and lots of energy.

What are the best ways to complete those jobs? First, the essentials of a good night's sleep, adequate time to plan and prepare for the task, and acquiring any needed supports helps. Next, take the task step-by-step, tough jobs can seem overwhelming, but when you break those jobs into manageable parts, the job becomes more approachable and doable. Accept the fact that you'll likely be a true novice as you try tough jobs for the first time, but the more practice you get with those jobs, the better you'll become.

Doing tough jobs yourself helps you to coach, lead, and support others who undertake such tasks, and this is good. So, I wish you and myself good luck with the tough jobs we face. If we choose to do tough jobs, it's likely that those jobs are important for our lives and the lives of others. Onward.
