For the past year or so, I've been reaching to get a good routine in place. The priorities have been healthy living and caring for my loved ones. There's a number of good pastimes and positive endeavor thrown into the mix that give me good energy too.
Now that a good routine is in place, the questions arise: Are you doing enough? Is there more I can do?
Of course, there is always more we can do for those we love, and the key here is to act in ways that are truly helpful which often requires some good research and reflection since we don't always know how to help in the most effective ways.
To help well demands keen observation, listening, some background research, and time.
Today, I'll think about each person that I'm helping in one way or another to determine what more I can do. When you love a lot of people and want to be there for all of them, there comes a need for balance as well. For example, if you pour all your time and attention into one loved one, you may neglect another one and you probably don't want to do that.
If we're all doing our best, and reflecting on that and recalibrating our efforts regularly, it's likely that we will give in life-enriching, sufficient ways. Onward.
