Educators look at students' behavior patterns all the time with regard to learning successes and challenges. We think what are they doing to garner the overall success and happiness they continually display, or what are they doing that appears to get them in trouble again and again.
We can apply this pattern mindset to assessing our own successes and failures. What do we repeatedly do that leads to good living, and what do we repeatedly do that obstructs our good living?
I thought a bit about this today. Repetitious behavior that sets me up for success include the following:
- daily reading, research, reflection, writing
- just-right sleep
- healthy nutritious meals
- a diet of positive, uplifting, honest media
- acts that nurture those I love
- regular communication with those I love
Repetitious behavior that impedes success include the following:
- Using repetition rather than good strategy
- Not sticking to a good routine with regard to some events
- Impatience
When we work with those we love, serve, and/or team with, we can talk about patterns that are positive and patterns that are detrimental. We can strive together for positive patterns in an effort to gain success in areas of life that we truly care about. This is one way to help each other. Onward.
