Challenges can refine our direction

We can use challenge as an opportunity to refine our direction and look specifically at what we do and why we do it. I see challenge as an opportunity for betterment.

So, today as I think of the many challenges in life, I am thinking about the direction ahead.

Caretaking

I enjoy helping the people I love in ways that I can. While I don't want to tell them what to do, I do want to be a support and help to them. One way that I've found to be helpful in this regard is to simply ask, What do you need? and How can I help? Those simple questions are very powerful. Another positive way that I've found to help is to simply be present and available should people need you. Presence is a super way to help. Further, providing choices can be helpful to--for example, you can offer someone the choice to take part in an event that you think may be advantageous to them. There is great satisfaction in helping those you love, and to do that well, takes continual reflection, observation, listening, and questioning so that your help is positive.

Health

When we live in healthy ways we have happier lives, and to know what is healthy for you takes some good reflection, study, and trial-and-error too. Overtime what is healthy for you may change, but the fact that a healthy life is a happy life remains the same.

People we love

Finding the people you love to be with and nurturing those relationships is essential to good living.

Passions and Interests

We all have a variety of passions and interests, and to engage in those passions and interests helps to make life fulfilling, interesting, and positive. I find that when we share those passions and interests with other like-minded people, our engagement in what makes us happy grows. Sometimes we have to seek out those like-minded people in order to find a group to grow our passions and interests with.

We all want to live our best lives for ourselves and others. For me, that best life is made up of a life that includes caretaking, health, good people, and passions/interests. That seems to be a good direction.
