Milestones are destination points, and once you reach those points, it's time to reset to reach the next milestone. During the reset, I typically ask myself the following questions:
- What worked and what didn''t work on the last leg of the journey?
- What do I want to bring forward and what do I want to leave behind?
- What goals do I have for this next leg of the journey?
- What do I hope to have by the next milestone?
I like the journey metaphor for life--I enjoy navigating the path ahead and seeking good along the way. As for the tough spots, it's good to consider how I worked through those in the past to give me wisdom and knowledge for the tough spots ahead. Onward.
