Throughout my life I've rarely to never missed a meeting though it has happened. Yet this week I missed number of appointments. Why?
Clearly as I get used to some new routines and priorities, I've been somewhat distracted from other life expectations and plans. To adopt new habits and reach for new goals often takes your mind away from your usual priorities. Hence, I've had to make a few apologies.
I do have a good calendar, but I need to have my tools powered up and close at hand to see those calendars. Essentially I'm getting used to a lot of new routines, and as one individual remarked, it is a clumsy time.
Good coaches expect and respect the clumsiness that goes along with new learning--they are there to help. As you coach yourself, you have to expect this too and be compassionate with the errors you make along the way.
Today, I'll actually write out this new routine in an attempt to not miss important meetings while still reaching new goals and living with new routines. To be that explicit will help.
