The culture we inherit, the culture we create

In families, at work, in the community, and within our organizations we inherit a culture that has morphed and changed over time. This inherited culture likely contains traditions that still hold value as well as outdated, ineffective, and even dehumanizing traditions. This begs us to consider the cultures we inherit and the cultures we create.

What culture are you creating at home, in the work place, within the community and via the organizations you belong to and contribute to? This is an important question to consider, and one I will be thinking a lot about today as I go about my daily tasks and chores.
