A Decade of Adventure

Last Friday, I got my National Parks Senior Pass. For $80 I now have lifelong admission to any National Park I choose to visit. I declared that this purchase was the start of a decade of adventure. There's nothing I like more than adventures in new, beautiful places near and far. My husband and I celebrated the start of this decade with a visit to the beautiful Head of the Meadow Beach in Truro, Massachusetts. That night we camped in a nearby campground. The ability to camp gives us a way to adventure in affordable ways.

What do I hope this decade will include? I hope that our adventures include biking, hiking, museum visits, kayaking, and exploring in many parks. These adventures, for the most part, will be simple, short adventures for now as we pay college tuitions and take care of loved ones. Later, we may take a few longer, faraway trips if time and money permit.

I like to label periods of time with words that match what I love and want to do, and that's what the next decade has the title, Decade of Adventure.
