What kind of world will be optimal for our children? How can we create that world?
Preserving and protecting natural resources
We want our children to have clean land, air, and water--we want them to have the natural resources they need to survive, enjoy live, and draw inspiration from. We all have to think carefully about how we use, preserve, and protect our natural resources.
Sensible laws and policies that create safe, welcoming, empowering communities
We all have to pay attention to the laws and policies in place and needed to create safe, welcoming, empowering communities. We don't want our children to live in places that are unsafe, unwelcoming, and oppressive. Our children will thrive if we elect just, intelligent, inclusive lawmakers who work with us to create policies and laws that enrich and lift lives rather than demean and disrespect lives.
Positive traditions and lifeways
We can make a good future for our children by supporting positive traditions and lifeways--the more we contribute to what is healthy, positive, and good--the better our children's lives will be.
Collaboration over competition
When we support what is right and good for all, we make a better path to good living for our children. Working together to lift lives rather than competing for our share of the life pie is the best way to go. I still believe that there is the capacity for all people to live good lives.
Simplicity
Seeking simple pleasures can often lift lives more than a focus on confounding complexity.
I want to focus on creating lifeways that promote positive living for my children and future grandchildren. I want our culture to focus on what is right and good for children as I believe that focus will lift all of our lives. We can do this.
