We're going on a picnic today. As a child, we had picnics often in public spaces near and far. My mom always packed a good picnic and I thought of her today as I prepped the potato salad, coleslaw, fruit salad, Caesar salad, cookies, paper goods, tablecloth, tableware, and drinks. Friends and family members will add to the feast with all kinds of special sandwiches and other treats. There will be people of many ages and a two or more dogs. We've chosen a beautiful spot by the ocean that supposedly is not well traveled which sounds just right.
Too often we think we have to have masterful, complex plans to have a good time when a meet-up at a beautiful spot can be just as enjoyable. We'll bring some yard games, go for a walk, play by the ocean, and likely have a very good time. Onward.
