Since leaving my teaching career, it seems that I've been majoring in relationships. So busy as a teacher, I didn't give some of my relationships the time they deserved. I was simply over-the-top busy. Looking back, I wish I balanced my personal/professional time a bit better during my career, but that's in the past and it is time to move on.
I've learned a lot in the past year about relationships and I've made a fair share of mistakes as well. The greatest lesson I've learned is that I like to have strong, loving, positive relationships--I enjoy adventuring and spending time with good people in multiple ways.
In the weeks ahead, I'll heed what I've learned as I work to be a good friend and family member--I know that good, strong ties amongst family members and friends heightens one's experience of life, and I want to contribute to that.
To be a loving friend, family members, and community member is a good aim, one that I am embracing as I move ahead in life. Onward.
