Set up for success

You can set yourself and others up for success. That doesn't mean success will always happen, but to set oneself or others up for success certainly shifts the probability in the direction of success. What can you do?

Find your people

There are countless ways to find your people--people that respect you, care for you, understand you, and work for you. For some, searching for your people may take more time and attention than others, but with a good search and a willingness to try new venues, you will find your people.

Find your place

For each of us, some places are more comfortable and welcoming than other places. Find those places that make you feel full, loved, and happy. Spend good time in those places.

Distance the distractions and detractors

There will be some that do not understand you and do not work for your happiness. Their efforts that work against you may not be purposeful at all, but nonetheless what they do does not help you. There will also be events or experiences that work against your best self. Work to distance yourself as much as possible from distractions and detractors like that.

Dream

Make time to dream and figure out who you are and what you want to be. Trust your dreams and find ways to achieve your dreams.

Don't spend a lot of time blaming other people or circumstances

Blame, in general, is a useless weight. Rather than spending lots of time blaming other people or events for your struggle, use that time to dream and work towards achieving those dreams.

Seek support

If you're not feeling up to par, begin with a medical exam. Make sure your body is working as it should. Then identify the areas of life that are troubling you and seek expert support to remedy those issues. Sometimes a simple Google search can lead you to people or places that have what you need. Be discerning, however, and research those supports before signing on to their programs.

There's room for all of us to live good lives, and to do that we have to help each other set up for success. We can do that.
