Some of my family members give me a hard time about my long term planning. I plan events out into the future to give me a destination to look forward to. For example, I just set the date for my family/friend women's holiday party. By setting the date, I give people a chance to plan on the event and make the plans they need to make in order to attend the event if they want to come. Planning ahead also ensures that I can afford the event and that I can be ready for the event. For example, planning a party in my home in the future gives me a focus for home updates and cleaning. It also gives me a reason not to waste money on small, unimportant objects and events so that I have the money I need for the valuable, important events in life.
Planning ahead sometimes is a problem. That's especially true when a long planned event means you have to miss a wonderful, spontaneous opportunity. Long term planning also doesn't factor in the weather of the moment which can upset a long term event, but mainly planning ahead for desired events is a good way to go since it helps you to be ready to enjoy the company of those you love in a special way and it helps you to keep a good focus as you approach the event. Onward.
