Summer 2021 so far has marked our exit from COVID-19 limitations. So far in New England where I live, the spread of the virus has not been great since so many have been vaccinated. Sadly, the same is not true everywhere in the United States due to the fact that so many are resisting vaccination. Those people are spreading the virus, putting their own lives at risk, and sadly contributing to greater limitations, closures, undue medical time/costs, and risk to young children who cannot be vaccinated yet.
For me, Summer 2021 highlights inlcude lots of outdoor adventures with people I care about. Days at the beach, hikes in the woods, mountain adventures, bike rides, neighborhood walks, and gardening have been the summer highlights so far. In the next month there will be more of the same as well as get togethers with friends and family members. Overall it's been a great summer. May it continue.
