The days ahead: family, garden, goals

The schedule these days is more of the same. As usual, goals that I think I'll achieve in a few months generally take a year or more. I've been an impatient goal setter. So now, as I continue my work to achieve some thoughtful goals, I need to give myself the time those goals deserve since I didn't make the goals lightly--the goals have meaning and value.

Garden

Creating, tending, and harvesting the garden has been a great source of learning and joy for me. I will continue this work throughout the year both outdoors and indoors.

Family

After leaving teaching, I've been spedning a lot of time devoted to a host of family activities. I believe in the strength and potential of a strong family so I am happy to engage in these activities.

Goals

I've thoughtfully set a number of goals that are essential to achieve if I want to meet some of my greater pursuits. These are quiet, personal goals that demand substantial energy and focus. I'm enjoying this work that is teaching me a lot.

In the year ahead, this will be the focus. I'll revist this focus in a year, and then decide on next steps. Onward.
