Two wrongs don't make a right

Do you remember your mom saying to you, "Two wrongs don't make a right," when you wanted to retaliate in the face of disrespect or mistreatment. I remember those wise, but challenging words.

Often events in life work to discredit, disrespect or dismiss us in some way, and when that happens, often our first reaction is a desire to retaliate, but that does no one any good. What's better is to turn around and face the situation with the way you wished it had happened in the first place. If someone uses rude words, use polite words in return. If someone doesn't communicate, make sure that you communicate. If someone is not encouraging, encourage. Do what you know and believe to be right even if that's not the way you were treated. Onward.
