Have you ever challenged yourself to a stressless week? How and why might you do that?
Stress, as we know, can be positive, but in most instances, it can be very damaging. Less stress mostly means a better life. So that's the why, but what about the how?
First, you need to identify what stresses you out. You may surprise yourself when you do an analysis of your stressors. One way you can identify stressors is to chart your responses to various activities. For example when I immediately want to reach for a sweet drink or food, put on a movie, or simply feel defeated, I know that what just happened stressed me out. If you chart your behaviors either on paper or simply making cognitive notes, you'll come up with a list of what stresses you out.
Once you figure that out, simply plan a week without those stressors, and fill the week with the kinds of behaviors that result in the best you--those activities that make you smile, make good choices, and get a good night's sleep.
Once the week is done, analyze how it went as well as what you might do to continue a pattern of less stress. Onward.
