I have a vision for our world that includes increased service to one another and a worldwide focus on promoting good living for all. I am wondering how I might make that vision visible in my own life, what can I do?
Family
My first priority is to care for my family. That means doing what I can to ensure that my family has good educations, safe happy living arrangements, meaningful work, good health, and good times. I won't be able to solve all my family's challenges nor will they be able to solve all of my challenges, but we can be there to positively support one another.
Community
Findng ways to be a positive member of the community is another step in this direction.
Research and Advocacy
Understanding the underpinnings of society's problems and potential is integral to contributing to betterment. Similarly, figuring out ways to advocate for betterment is important. Right now there are several areas of advocacy that will greatly enrich lives. Those areas include the following:
- protection and conservation of our natural resources
- using a public health approach to guns so that we minimize gun accidents, deaths, threats, and injury
- ridding our government positions of self-serving bigots, haters, oppressors, sloths, and criminals
- making quality health care and education more affordable and accessible
- doing everything we can to make every community pollution free and safe to live in
- creating more healthy, natural spaces everywhere in our world to enrich lives
- uplifting quality care for society's most vulnerable
- modernizing our decision making processes and systems so that best possible problem solving and development can occur
- modernizing public and private organizations to uplift the good and diminish the inhumane, ineffective efforts
