Two problems arose in our home--both problems were bothersome reminders that we have some home updates to do. The summer was hot and rainy which didn't make for good home updating weather, but now with fall on the horizon, it's time to tackle those annoying problems. Often when problems arise, they are a wake-up call for new endeavor, and generally when we tackle problems with that spirit and energy, we are happy with the results of the often arduous work that problem solving involves. And, as with most good things, this kind of problem solving requires patience and the long view because when you finally identify a problem, there is typically a long path, and often somewhat difficult path, to get to the solution. That's when you have to plot the course starting with the desired result and working backwards to find a way to solve the problem with the time, money, energy, and expertise you have, find, or hire. Onward.
