Summer's End; Fall Start 2021

It is hard to believe that the summer is ending. As I think about Summer 2021, I realize that there were many good times including our family reunions in the mountains, at a lake, and at the beach, a number of hiking trips, a few dinners at home for friends, more beach trips, and a weekly routine that included lots of gardening, farm-to-table cooking, good shows/movies, friend/family get togethers and healthy indoor/outdoor activities.

While COVID-19 raged throughout the country, we stayed safe thanks to vaccinations, good government in our state, careful behavior, and some luck too. As I think about next year's summer, I happily imagine that we'll continue the traditions we enjoyed this summer--positive family/friend, indoor/outdoor, healthy activities.

With the start of the fall, what's on the agenda?

Celebrations

There are many celebrations in the fall months. As usual, we'll likely plan and prepare with friends and family members to make those celebrations joyful and fun.

Healthy Endeavor

For recreation we'll likely hike, bike, garden, and explore many beautiful places in our region.

House Updates

Summer is too hot and muggy to complete house updates. Fall is a perfect time to do that work because it is cool and to prepare for the winter months ahead when we spend a lot of time indoors.

Simple living remains a mainstay for us--hopefully the country will be able to see clearly that it is best to adopt policies and laws that allow every citizen to live a simple, healthy, positive life. Hopefully we'll rid our country of the effects of greedy, self-serving, users/abusers who spread disinformation to solely prop up their personal wealth, privilege, pleasure, and power. That will help everyone.
