Together we make the rules for living

Too often people forget that we make the rules for living. Though mulitple rules are layered on top of us, ultimately we have the power to make our own rules, and with that power comes responsibility.

In the United States today, and perhaps the world over, we're ready for some new rules of living--these are needed rules because we are so intricately connected as a global people, together we are facing some major challenges, and we've left too many behind with the old rules.

How can we change the rules to create better living conditions for all.

Recognize that we are a global society

The more we resist our global interdependence, the less chance we have of creating a better world for all. Major, wealthy organizations and corporations are already operating as global entities, but sadly their priorities are often not about good living for the masses, but instead profit for a few. That's why it is essential that people find ways via unions, government, and other organizations to work for the common good across the globe.

Own the problems that exist, and work together to solve problems

Few lone wolves will solve the problems that exist. For the most part it will be teams that work together to make positive change and transformation. Find your people, collaborate, and work for betterment for all in positive ways.

Don't leave others out

Too many throughout history have purposely left out entire groups of people when making plans for the future--this has hurt all of us. When we build inclusively, we build better for the future.

Good living for all should be the objective

The ultimate objective for all of our work should be good living for all. Now that's a mighty big goal, so you'll have to work back from that big goal to make smaller goals that contribute. Too many are still mired in good living for themselves or good living for a few as their goal--we have to rid society of that mindset since those greedy objectives end up hurting all of us in significant ways. Those exclusive objectives end up wasting time, wasting money, and wasting potential.

What was mostly has to change

Too many policies, mandates, and routines are based on a world that no longer exists--we have to update the way we live in every way to be more inclusive, Earth friendly, positive, healthy, and happy. Every group and organization starting with families and working out to our nation and world need to transform who they are and what they stand for--the old ways, for the most part, are no longer relevant.

Put children first

By focusing policy on what's best for the world's children, we will find common ground with nations and peoples around the globe. Most people everywhere care about the welfare of children, and of course, children are the future--they are the ones who will be taking care of us in our old age and making decisions for the world we live in. To build a world for the generations ahead is the right thing to do--we must do that.

Retire old ways

Retire the old ways that oppress us, sadden us, and rob us of our good time, money, and potential. Instead, adopt ways of living that bring us happiness. Of course some tried-and-true traditions will remain, but we will find ourselves living in new ways too.

Together, we make the rules for living, and we must take that job seriously as we build for a positive future.
