Every now and then you have to assess your routine. How do you do that?
First, determine your goals and where you want to be in a few months and years. Then identify the actions that will take you to that desired destination.
For me, that destination includes the following:
Reading
I want to make more time for reading, and this is the perfect time to make sure that's part of my schedule. Reading takes you away, teaches you and fills your life with new possibilities. I've got a large number of books ready to read and want to make this part of my daily schedule.
Healthy activity and delicious, nutritious foods
A healthy diet and healthy daily activity sets the stage for good living--that's a must for every person's schedule.
Good times with those you love
You have to make time to enjoy the people you love. Sometimes that takes extra work and lead time particularly if your loved ones are very busy and/or live far away.
Traditions matter
Some of those old time family/friend traditions deserve an important place in your schedule. Keeping traditions alive is often the glue that keeps family and friends close.
Contribution
Make time to contribute to others -- find meaningful ways to do that.
Rest
Exhaustion does no one any good--find time to rest adequately.
Passions, interests, enjoyment
Make time to pursue your passions. Life is short, enjoy it.
