I had a plan today, and then I met with a great, big, time consuming, unexpected detour.
In life, these detours happen now and then. They range in importance and annoyance.
There are those slight detours that take you down a different road, but don't cost much in terms of time, and then there are those grave detours that take you completely outside of your current situation and move you to another place and time. There are also those in between detours--the kind that aren't that grave, but are totally annoying, time consuming, and typically unexpected. That's what happened today.
In the end, there was no great loss or gain--people worked together after a bit of confrontation to solve the problem, and we're back where we started about five hours ago. Onward.
